CBB contestants force-fed Goody’s ghastliness
|
The Big Brother top brass have ordered all of this year’s contestants to watch the insidious 2007 series, telling them to watch and learn from the mistakes and horridness that went on.
And the bosses have held one-on-one meetings with each celebrity and made it very clear where the line is – and warned them not to cross it.
The appalling behaviour of Jade Goody, in which she led a racial bullying campaign against Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, led to over 50,000 complaints from enraged viewers. The bullying, in which model Danielle Lloyd and S Club 7 popper Jo O’Meara were also involved, caused such an outcry the show was temporarily axed.
Sharon Powers, the show’s Executive Producer, said: “We told everyone to look on YouTube and sent them DVDs. We’ve spoken to them all in detail about what the boundaries are.”
And because of the dreadful antics of Jade and her motley crew, this year celebrities have had to undergo psychological tests before entering the house to make sure their head is in the right place for it.
Contestants of “civvie” Big Brother have always had to take the tests, mainly because of the sheer length of the show, but this is the first time celebrities have had their lobes probed.
A show insider told The Mirror: “The tests probably weren’t good for their egos, but they were important to try to get a trouble-free series.”
